Born in San Mateo, California, I’m a Jungian psychotherapist and photographer living in San Francisco.  Making photographs helps me notice and give expression to the meaningful, truthful, or simply beautiful moments that otherwise go unnoticed.  Put another way, photography can create symbols that penetrate to a deeper realm than the concrete, materialistic world we take in most of the time.  Much of my photography and work aspires towards this end:  helping make the unconscious–mine and others–conscious.
